The new flags on Main Street have been up for a year now and will be in need to be maintained.

We are offering note cards in packages of five for $10.00. The front of the card has our beautiful banner designed by Cassandra Flynn-Rakos. The inside is left blank so you can add your one note or message. The message below is an additional insert in each card for you to keep or share. Please help our mission and Cassy's continue.

“Her spirit shines”

Cassandra Marie Flynn-Rakos 21, was killed when the sports car she was a passenger in, crashed into a tree, just one week after  her 21 birthday.  This car was driven by an irresponsible, drunk driver. Two other passengers in that vehicle were seriously injured.

 

Cassy was a vibrant, spirited college student of Nursing at the time of her death and was visible and active in the Bourne Community where

she grew up.  She was very involved, among other things, with the Buzzards Bay Beautification Group.

The image on this note card Cassy created for the banner project to replace the old, tattered ones along Main Street.  This was a project the BBBGroup had worked on for years. In her honor the community, friends & relatives raised the thousands of dollars needed to put them up in her memory.  The “Peace Sign” was a symbol of Cassy’s direction and her signature, bottom left, in loving memory of Cassy.

 

With the purchase of these note cards you will help to fund other BBBGroup future Main Street, Buzzards Bay community projects, something Cassy was very committed to.
